Dope Rope

Dope Rope

Overview:
Dope Rope marked the creative breakthrough for our studio—a bold, candy-inspired cannabis brand brought to life through the fusion of generative AI and traditional design craftsmanship. This project served as our “coming-out party” for using AI as a true creative partner rather than a novelty tool.

The Challenge:
We set out to build a cannabis brand that didn’t look or feel like cannabis. Instead of leaning on the typical green-and-black palette, we drew inspiration from nostalgic candy brands like Skittles, Dunkin, and Fanta. The goal was to create a craveable, character-driven visual world that could live across packaging, digital, and retail environments.

The Process:

  • Branding: Built a bold, hyper-colorful visual identity that balances fun and premium appeal.

  • Packaging: Designed stand-up pouches and display boxes featuring dynamic AI-generated characters and flavor-coded color systems.

  • Character Design: Introduced Gummy Demarco, an AI-generated spokesperson with expressive, exaggerated emotions that anchor the brand’s storytelling.

  • Product Photography: Produced cinematic, food-porn-style imagery using AI tools to visualize texture, lighting, and craveability beyond standard studio photography.

  • Sales Materials: Developed sales sheets and retail decks to help the brand secure distribution partnerships and retail placement.

The Result:
Dope Rope became a proof of concept for how AI can accelerate creativity without diluting authenticity. Every asset, from the packaging to the personality of Gummy Demarco—was generated, refined, and composited using AI-assisted workflows that blurred the line between digital imagination and physical product design.
