Wild Blue Texas Sotol

Wild Blue Texas Sotol

Overview

Wild Blue Texas Sotol is a premium desert spirit born from the rugged beauty of West Texas. The brand merges craftsmanship with place — celebrating the raw, unfiltered character of the land where sotol plants thrive. The goal was to create a timeless, grounded identity that honors the region’s heritage while standing apart from traditional tequila and mezcal competitors.

Brand Identity

The identity system was designed to embody the spirit of the desert — resilient, warm, and honest.

  • Typography: Carnaby Street headlines paired with Poppins body text create a balance between modern refinement and approachable personality.

  • Palette: Inspired by the Texas high plains — Sienna Hills, River Turquoise, Cliff Brown, Cream, and Dusty Sand — the color story evokes sand, sagebrush, and sun-warmed stone

    .

  • Tone: Confident and natural, reflecting the simplicity and authenticity of desert life.

Packaging & Bottle Design

We developed a bottle concept modeled after the Perro Verde silhouette — short, wide-shouldered, with beveled glass details and a natural cork stopper. The craft paper label introduces tactile warmth, printed with deep ink tones and subtle fiber texture, lending an artisanal authenticity to the spirit’s presentation. The embossed Wild Blue emblem anchors the design with understated elegance.

Photography Direction

Our product photography series served as a visual translation of the brand’s soul.
We produced a full set of cinematic, high-resolution images using desert-inspired lighting and Sendero Provisions–style textures. Each frame highlights details such as beveled glass refractions, label texture, and natural lighting shifts — set against color gradients drawn from the brand palette.
Key lighting emphasized amber rim tones and the interplay between Cliff Brown and Cream, creating a warm desert-sun glow that enhances the turquoise glass and rich paper label.

Outcome

The Wild Blue Texas Sotol visual identity now stands as a refined, authentic representation of West Texas craftsmanship. From brand design to photography, every element aligns with the land, the spirit, and the story — positioning Wild Blue as a bold new player in the growing world of American sotol.
